Morning Meditation – Sikh Style
These angelic ladies treated us to some yoga, meditation and chanting. It was a great way to start the day.
May the sun shine upon you, All love surround you, And the pure light within you Guide you on your way.
Eric Yao Vormanns - Etheric Healing
This technique is a form of Love. For Eric, “Healing is a matter of love, simplicity and honesty.” He says: “We are all born with an innate ability to heal. We only need a will to serve without discrimination.”
This workshop was a very sensorial experience as we all put to practice the simple but effective healing techniques he showed us. We could feel the tingling of one another’s energy working on our colds, flues and other blockages we may have had. Eric’s simplicity and humility brought a whole new dimension to those in caring professions. He stressed the importance of not wanting to heal people but instead become a facilitator for the healing. Eric repeated many times that healing required no concentration on the healer’s part but an openness of the heart to receive and to give; to have the mind of a child, open and without judgment.
Dr. N. P. Jain - Vegetarianism
The Jains have always championed vegetarianism due to a fundamental non-violence toward life, any life. Dr. Jain pointed out that meat eating presented spiritual, emotional, environmental, nutritional and moral problems.
For those with a sense of the interconnectedness of life it can be seen that violence towards others is violence towards ourselves. Many now feel that a non-violent world has its roots in a non-violent diet.
Dr. Linda Groff – Crossing Boundaries
Since the end of the cold war 95% of all wars are internal conflicts. Most of these have been fought along religious lines. Religions need to preach tolerance towards other faiths. In fact other religions can often complement one another.
For example, religions in the west have often focused on the external world. This has enriched their societies with ideas of social justice, environmental and human rights. The eastern religions have focus on the interior landscape. This has brought the skills of meditation and mindfulness to their followers. Clearly each has something to offer the other. In fact there has been numerous fertile Christian – Buddhist dialogs in the past 10 years.

Ms. Kay Lindahl – Sacred Art of Listening
In this workshop Kay showed us a technique for listening deeply to one another. It resulted in an unhurried exchange of ideas and allowed our conversations to develop in unexpectedly provocative ways.
Here’s the recipe: For more information please see: www.worldwidelisten.com or www.asc-spiritualcommunity.org
