Organize, Organize, Organize

The Wheels are Turning

There is so much to organize for an event this size. It seems impossible to have a grip on everything. Over 600 events. Hundreds of speakers. The logistics are daunting.

Lost in a Thicket

At times one cannot see the forest for the trees and can end up feeling alone and overwhelmed.

The universe is intelligent!

At other times it is clear to see that progress has been made by other groups. Volunteers form self-organizing groups that take on loose projects. Things start to fit together.

Our Dedicated Staff

Has put in many long days and are still on speaking terms! Here Joyce is flying blind. Good thing she’s got her co-pilot looking over her shoulder.

Valiant Volunteers

Thank the heavens above for all the volunteers in the world. Wherever they work and for whatever cause.

Things come together

As the Parliament draws closer there is a feeling of mounting momentum. Little things that were not quite right work themselves out.

Medium sized things that were lagging behind get swallowed up by larger projects. Larger projects take on a life of their own, fed by dozens of people from around the world.

Comrades in Arms. Arms to embrace the world with.

It’s like a big potluck.

A week before the big day, one can worry that maybe no one will bring any desert. But when folks start to arrive, bringing the fruits of their labor, you realize that there will be enough for everyone.

Get Your Ticket and Grab Your Hat

Because a new day is about to dawn.
