Living the life

U. S. A.

Remembering to laugh

Through life's little turns and trials, it may be easy to remember yourself and what you are trying to live, but with the onset of major catastrophies and little things happening around them constantly, it is diffucult to laugh it off. When it rains, it pours, and if it pours long ehough, it is quite easy to forget there is a sun.

Dealing with Laughter

I was taught not to speak ill of the dead. When several people you are close ot die in the same night, or even if they're not close, but friends, it is hard to laugh at it, no matter how much practice you've had at living Romany Philosophy. The only thing I could think of would be to mock the dead, which makes me feel cruel and angry. Beyond that, there are many other people to deal with, and the wrong move around friends and family when someone you know is dead could cause ostrasization for life. How awful people can be. To each other, to themselves, to the dead.

Getting through it all

Though family and friends may not be what they seem, Though life may go on for you when others get left behind, Though death may take all those you hold dear, It is not laughter you need to keep dear, It is the spirit behind it.
