Luxour

Egypt

Temple

Luxor has kept its charming village life despite the down pouring of millions of visitors on its banks each year.

Hatchepsut

There is so much to see and learn that it is difficult to do it all without risking a heat stroke. I regained my passion for history while over there and couldn't get enough of it.

Dessins Mortuaires

Tombs of workers, kings and queens fill this mountainous landscape. Many tombs still have incredible artistic drawing on their walls. This one had innumerable scenes from daily life 3500 years ago.

Vallee Des Travailleurs

Une terre inesperee pour tout archeologue. Il reste tant a deterrer.

A land rich for any archeologist. There are many more hidden treasures waiting to be uncovered under those piles of sand and stones.

Standing in this ocean of columns, I wished that I could read the religious hyeroglyphs sculpted everywhere. I would love to recognize each and every of their gods and godesses busying themselves in their favorite activities.

L'obelisque de Karnak

L'un a New-York, l'autre a Paris, il en reste un a Karnak.

One in New-York, the other on in Paris, there is one left in Karnak.

Unification

One of the many symbols that the Egyptians used to symbolize a unified Egypt was the lotus and the pyparus. The lotus flower was growing in the South while the papyrus plant was found in the North.
