Intuition

Cairo - Egypt

Helene and I have found that Egyptians have a highly developed “sixth sense”.

Although people here seem to have a complete disregard for the rules that govern right of way and order of precedence, things flow smoothly. Instead they have sharpened their intuition and sensitivity to the inherent nature of mass, movement and intention.

We saw hundreds of “close calls”, but no accidents. Big carts blindly pushed through crowded markets, traffic swerving around a wandering donkey, boats passing within feet on the Nile. Drivers can sense the presence of those around them as everyone jockeys for position on roads with no lines. No one looks over their shoulder and mirrors, if present, were seldom used.

Pedestrians routinely cross wide boulevards teaming with tumultuous traffic. Since everyone is driving with their “feelers” out, traffic parts like the Red Sea. Part flow, part accommodation, part the Will of Allah. The only problems we had crossing streets was when we got too cerebral, freaked out and stopped in our tracks. We resisted the flow, caused a rent in the matrix and produced localized turbulence, anomalies that we were.

We have noticed this in other places also. Is seems that societies that are less orthoganal and rules based have developed (or maintained) a greater sense of living in a web and can feel the vibrations of other creatures and engeries nearby.
