Tuesday Bangkok is in the throws of a cold wave. The temperature almost requires a jacket. At night you have to sleep with a sheet or even blanket. In the north 2 men actually died from the cold snap. One of them drunk and the other in a jail cell with out blanket. I am enjoying it though, because this is likely the closest I will get to that northern US Christmas feeling. Most Thais hate it, complaining it makes them dry and their lips hurt. Luckily for us we just got our hot water working. We have lived here over a year with room temperature shower water. That is just fine when it is hot, but with this cool streak it is unbearable.
