Waiting for a three day weekend always hurts productivity in the workplace. And nothing kills more time than Network gaming. I spent the last sunlight hours of Thursday night playing Starcraft with 3 others. I don't think of myself as a gamer, but I love the idea of playing actual people. We had 2 partner games and due to my experience with the game, I was able to lead my team to two victories.
Dan came over for a night of goings out. We used the sky train to wizz on over to Soi 4 in a matter of minutes. The night was made interesting again as 2 girls Dan had plan to meet, were about to joined by a girl Dan was interested in. It was all going nicely, until I realized I had lost my wallet. It either fell out of my pocket, or someone took it out. Anyone loosing a wallet always puts a damper on things. Given this I was a bit upset. I hate loosing things, but I think I am now quite capible of handeling it. I've lost my share of things in my life and I think I am well prepared to handle gracefully loosing more in the future. I needed some serious cheering up so I thought it would do no harm to introduce myself to two girls I had seen looking at Dan and I. They were average looking and I could tell they were students. On of them could speak English well, and the other seemed to listen well. Within about 5 minutes the one who could speak well, Ning, let me know that her friend liked me. I didn't know what to do as I really had not even talked to her. Ning seemed to have a real interest in foreigners and even let me know she hoped to marry one do to the perceived freedom (possibly both culturally and monetarily). We got up to some more dancing and then talked again while eating noodles. I felt better after that and was able to forget about the wallet incident.
