We are in the 'Cold Snap of 99'. It's amazing so see it like this. Makes me think it is about to snow. I had the perfect shirt for this occasion as well. Acquired right before my trip to Thailand, this shirt was a fabulous find from an Avon, Colorado thrift shop. A burly polo shirt with elbow patches and reinforced stitching. This fabulous garment sat dormant in my closet for over 2 years as the heat of Bangkok deemed it useless. Countless times I would pass it by, thinking the time would come when I would need it. It's home at the end of the rack was undisturbed until the need for it finally arose. Arose it did in all it's glorious fashion. I emerged from our just recently hot water spouting shower in to the living room, knowing I would finally don the polo at the end of the rack. Pulling it from it's resting place I knew this was the moment it had been saved for. All the waiting, the overlooking, the usage evaluations finally coming to an end. I pulled the thick threads over my head, admiring the weight of the fabric. The length of the sleeves more than adequate to cover my palms and fingers if need be. The reign of summer attire finally reached it's end as I slammed the door behind me.
