Monkeyland

Wednesday - 15 Mar 2000
Near Plettenberg Bay , Western Cape - South Africa

Back to nature

Monkeyland is a privately owned sanctuary, consisting of acres of fenced in original old forest. All the apes and monkeys they have at Monkeyland come from private homes or zoo, where they have been depending on people feeding them. Now they are being trained to live in the wild again, finding their own food.

The fenced around the forest is there to protect them from wild baboons, whom would eat the smaller monkeys.
