Cheetah Farm

Sunday - 14 Nov 2004
Northern Namibia - Namibia

South of Etosha is a cheetah farm. A farmer takes in orphaned cheetahs (other farmers shoot them when the cheetahs go after their cattle) and raises them as pets. Although domesticated, these are still wild animals and care must be taken when handling them.

We were treated to 2 cheetahs that came by to be petted. Imaging the purring of a large cat, then magnify it by 10 to appreciate that of a cheetah. Definitely for cat lovers.

Speed, and beauty!!

0 - 110 km/hr in 4 seconds. Any takers?
