Sunday 26- We left for our Cambodian trip on the 11:30 bus from the Eckamai station on Sukumvit. It's amazing the way time flies when you are about to go on a long trip. You know you are leaving for days, but it just doesn't strike you as time to go until the last moments. Then you are rushing around your room thinking of this thing to bring and if it is worth it or not. I finished my packing process right at the self imposed cut off time, where only a taxi in good traffic could make it there on time. Derek and I decided to split up in order to make the bus on time and buy 2 bottles of celebratory Champaign for New Years. I was a bit nervous as I arrived with 2 minutes to spare, but Derek was not there yet. Just then Derek emerged from behind a bus carrying the Champaign. We boarded the bus right on time with our millennial bottles of Andre Brut and free glasses.
