I don't know how anyone these days can live without a mobile phone. I went with Derek to meet some friends and he realized he didn't know the place he was suppose to meet. Had he had a mobile, he would have had the number for them right there. Instead he had to go back home to get the number and sort things out from there. 

If you are a last-minute planning guy like me, a mobile is a must have. In order to set up those alternate plans in case the present event is a bomb. 

One feature I don't have but seriously need, is the caller id function. It seems like every girl that calls expects me to remember their voice and just starts talking. I've gotten better a remembering voice and bluffing the first 30 seconds of the call. It's dangerous though, because if you get to deep into the call and don't know who it is, you run the risk of looking pretty stupid if after 5 minutes you ask," who am I speaking with?".
