Rites of Spring
Our visit to Moscow and St. Petersburg was interesting, provocative and pleasurable. The tumultuous spring weather brought out many moods in these complex cities. The weather also seemed to reflect Russia’s fitful transition to a market economy, or “wild capitalism” as they call it here.
Notre visite a Moscou et St-Petersburgh fut interessante et plaisante. La temperature printanniere nous a rappeler l’Amerique du Nord. Les changements soudains du soleil a la pluie nous ont paru bien refleter la transition economique de la Russie vers un “capitalisme sauvage”.
