While the picture does not truely reflect the depression we are feeling, we were truely depressed to have to leave our little paradise. We left Railey Beach by long boat and spent one night in AoNang Beach. The differences were drastic. In Railey there were only 3 cars on both beaches while AoNang Beach was a tourist mecka with lots of people and shops. The hustle bustle that we had avoided for a solid week. We stayed at a great place right on AoNang Beach called AoNang Resort. The rooms were much larger than others that we looked at and the price was extremely reasonable! Highly recommended!

With only one night left of our vacation we decided to do a little exploration of Bangkok. We stayed at a wonderful hostel called SUK11. If you have the chance to visit Bangkok be sure to make SUK11 your home base. In expensive yet great atmosphere! We also ate dinner at a famous restaurant - Cabbages and Condoms. The owner, a local activist, wanted to promote family planning in Thailand and aimes to have birth control as available to everyone as fruit and vegetables. The food was Ok, but the atmosphere was good. Lots of gardens if you want to eat outside and lots of interesting art if you choose the air conditioning.

Our adventure to Thailand was a wonderful experience and if you have the opportunity be sure to include Krabi Province in you travel plans. Thanks for checking out my journal - until the next time....
