Olga

Mi Amiga, Olga

In San Salvador we stayed with Olga who runs a guesthouse. But actually, it felt more like visiting a dear friend. She helped improving my spanish. And speaking spanish in Central Amerika is a must! If you don't speak spanish going to Central America, learn it!!

*******

One of the many...

The church Santa Lucia in Suchitoto

Central America is packed with churches. Some more beautiful than others, but all interesting to visit! This church, Santa Lucia from 1850 in Suchitoto was for me, one of the more interesting.

There was a special feeling in the church. When we entered the church, some birds flew under the ceiling and the wind blew. An old woman knelt, facing the alter and prayed.

It felt, we were set back in time, everything seemed ancient.

Woman praying
