Interpreters needed for DEA Training!

Here is the picture of me with a Special Agent of DEA Office, Matthew P. Kratky. He picked us up at the airport and never forgot to show us some places before taking us to the very delicious lunch! (By saying us, I mean Pi Aew (another interpreter and me). K.Matt was Pi Aew's student last year. He studied Thai in Khonkaen for 5 months and I don't think he disappoints his teachers ;)

Anyway, apart from being nervous the whole week not knowing what would happen, everything else was fine. I underestimated myself so it was frustrating. No one has ever blamed my translation but I am always excited and afraid everytime working. The good thing is, I don't show my fear. I don't know how but I can always control my fear and act so confidently everytime working. I think this is a gift! (unlike when I had to present something in front of class...teachers and friends always became my enemies then :( ).

The topics we were talking about included handcuffing, raiding house, drug trafficking trend, intelligence, undercover and so on. The best part is we got to practice it like the real situation. I was playing a drug trafficker's wife who carried money...excited!!!
