Slovenia is the garden state of the universe. Look any direction, and there are steeep green hills covered in shades of pastures and trees dotted with red roof houses. Close-up, each house has a vegetable garden and balconies have waterfalls of flowers pouring over the edge. This is the land of milk and honey. As you walk the narrow rural streets, plums and apples lay at your feet. Grape-vines shade the house or crawl a fence dripping clusters of grapes and no garden is complete if half is not used for flowers of every kind.
