Servas is a peace; non-governmental interracial and international association based on volunteer work. It was founded in 1949 as a peace movement. Servas International is a non-profit making organisation working to build understanding, tolerance and world peace. It operates through a network of Servas hosts around the world who are prepared to open their doors to the traveller.
