I have never seen a capital as relaxed and laid-back as Vientiane.
Walking the streets of Vientiane is occasionally like walking in a tiny sleepy little village.
The traffic is slow and sparse.
The wats are everywhere and the monks wearing their orange robe are silently strolling the on sidewalks, giving you the impression of peacefulness.
Few houses are more than 3 storeys high, which give you a small town feeling.
