Hồ Chí Minh City, named after Hồ Chí Minh (1890-1969), Hồ Chí Minh 's given name at birth was Nguyen Tat Thanh.
Hồ Chí Minh was the leader of The Communist Party of Vietnam, which he founded in 1930 and he was the principal force behind the Vietnamese struggle against French colonial rule.
On September 3, 1969, he died in Hanoi of heart failure. In his honor, after the Communist conquest of the South in 1975, Saigon was renamed Hồ Chí Minh City.
Hồ Chí Minh City is a typical large city with a lot of people, a lot of noise and the motorist, especially the ones on motorcycles, drives if they were cats with 9 lives. And you should take extra care when crossing the road. Talking about motorcycles, I’ve never seen so many in one city. The cars are clearly a minority.
