Kelsey is a 7-year old Yorkshire Terrier. She is friendly and outgoing, and very needy for lots of love. When anybody comes home, Kelsey is waiting inside the door with one of her stuffed animals in her mouth. She drops the toy to SMILE. Repairmen are wary, sure that her smile is a threatening show of teeth. ...my guard dog.

As you can see in this picture, Kelsey is a talker. She has a lot to tell me about her day, the squirrels she chased away, the mailman, UPS, and whoever else came by while I was away.

Billy Jack is a turquoise parakeet. We've had him for about a year now. He barks like the dog, which includes the "someone's here" bark and the "feed me, I'm hungry" bark. Billy Jack's working on human words, which sound more like buzzing sounds. He chatters constantly, and I'm sure some of it is mimicing human sounds, but we just can't figure it out. BillyJack enjoys it when I put his cage on the back porch so he can whistle at all the birds in the woods. He seems very happy, especially with his head in a little wedding bell, ringing the chime over and over. It must give a good echo from inside.

David feels sorry for Billy Jack, because I won't let him out to fly. With a yorkie who loves to beat up little stuffed animals, I am afraid the bird would be killed.
