My Auz adventures began on 25 Jan 2005 when I flew from Auckland, New Zealand to Sydney, Australia. I had planned to stay for 3 weeks but ended up staying for 8 weeks. I guess I just kind of liked it here. "No worries, mate"

I spent the first 10 days with my friend Robin before he moved back to Edinburgh. I also met up with a friend from England, Julie Holland, who was also travelling around Australia. My friend and former roommate, Crazy Carolyn, decided to join me for some of my round-the-world travels and I suggested that Australia (particularly diving the Great Barrier Reef, since she is a fellow diver) would be a great place to join me. "Unfortunately", she couldn't join me until Feb 25, which was a week after I was supposed to leave, so I extended my stay by 5 weeks and she joined me for the last month. Too much fun!
