First destination on my round-the-world trip was essentially Home Sweet Home -- Alberta. I stopped to see friends and family in Calgary and Lethbridge, before heading up to my parents' place in Camrose. I got an early Christmas present of a surprise flight up to Camrose on my brothers Cherokee Piper airplane. I was greeted in Camrose with a chilly -20C, but it was still great to be back in Canada. I'd come to miss the variety of the Canadian seasons (+20C/-20C, rain, sunshine, snow), after experiencing the Scottish seasons (+5C/-5C, rain, light rain, downpour) while living in Edinburgh for past two and a half years.
