Dalat - Vietnam

Dalat

Dalat was a major change coming from Phnom Penh in Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh City, where there is a humming of life from early morning to late night. Dalat was not a sleepy town, but the people seemed more relaxed, more laid-back.

Fields are all around Dalat

Dalat is nestled in the middle of a pine forest hill in the central highlands and with an altitude of 1475 m., the temperatures where brought down to 18-25 C. - Cooler than what we have been used to for the last couple of month.

The locals claim that DaLat is Vietnam's botanical garden and many of the country's fruits and vegetables come from this part of the country. Most of the day the central market is bustling with activities, selling all kinds of goods such as spareparts for your bicycle, cloth, frogs, crabs and fish very much alive, together with chickens and lizards, fresh vegetables and the most beautiful flowers.
